The Greyhound Bus Story
Editorial
In 1905, Carl Eric Wickman emigrated
from Sweden to the USA with nothing
but a suitcase full of dreams. Nine years
later he had founded what was to
become 'Greyhound Lines', the world’s
unarguably most famous bus company.

'Busskungen' by acclaimed cultural
journalist Kristin Lundell is the first
biography written about this American
dream story. We are proud to have
created the design for Busskungen,
with material from Wickman’s entire
life as well as the story of Greyhound
Lines’ significant part in popular
culture and advertising history.
I’m goin’ down to the bus station,
with a suitcase in my hand.
Yes, I am. I’m gonna grab me
an armful of Greyhound, and ride
just as close as I can.
